In this video tutorial I show you how to easily change the DPI (Dots Per Inch) of an image. The DPI of an image effects the quality of the image when it is sent to the printer.

Follow these steps:

1.) Go to image — Image Size

2.) Once you are under the Image Size panel box you will see an option that says Resolution.

3.) Change the number by Resolution and this will change the DPI

By changing the DPI it will affect the way the image prints and the clarity at which it prints for certain sizes.

Make sure you speak with the company or person who will be printing your images/projects to full understand what you need to set your DPI to.

Step by step instructions:

1.) Crete a new layer

2.) Paint that layer black with your paint bucket tool. (Foreground Color is black and background color is white).

3.) Filter — Render — Fibers

4.) Set your variance anywhere from 60-75 and strength from 10-15

5.) Decrease the opacity of the top layer to 25-35

6.) Filter — Blur — Motion Blur

7) Set your angle to 63 and distance to 60-65

iTunes Tutorial: How To Delete Duplicate Songs In iTunes

In this video tutorial you will learn how to Delete Duplicate Songs In iTunes

In order to see all of your duplicate songs follow these steps:

1.) Open itunes and go to your library

2.) Once you are in your library go to File > View Duplicates

3.) Once itunes displays all of the songs in your library that have duplicates you need to select 1 of each song and then press delete.

4.) When the box comes up that asks to you want to delete the file itself OR just remove from your library MAKE SURE THAT YOU COOSE REMOVE FROM LIBRARY.

5.) If you choose delete file it will remove the song COMPLETELY.

This tutorial is for iTunes 8-10. If you have iTunes 11 this will work the same way BUT currently there is a bug that does not allow you to see the “Display Duplicates” option. This will be available and will work the same way as soon as Apple updates iTunes 11.

2.) Make SURE that you type the HTTP:// in front of your links to make them clickable.

3.) Once you have added all of your links in the description go ahead and click the save button in the lower or upper corner of the screen and you now will have clickable links in your Youtube video descriptions.

In this Tumblr tutorial I show you how to change your tumblr theme.

In order to change your tumblr theme you need to follow the following steps:

1.) First login to your tumblr account and go to your dashboard

2.) Click on the cog/gear icon in the upper right hand corner.

3.) You are now in the settings, and you need to click on your tumblr’s page name in the bottome right side of the screen.

4.) Once you have done that you will see a customize button under the “Themes” option. Click that

5.) Once you are at the themes selection screen you can just select which theme you like and click on the use button at the top of the screen.

6.) After you have finished all of this you can now save it by clicking the green button at the top left of the screen and you now have a new tumblr theme!

If you want to learn how to take screenshots in Mac OS X there are multiple ways of doing it. Below I have listed the different shortcut keys for each.

Command-Shift-3: This will take a screenshot of the screen, and save it as a file on the desktop
Command-Shift-4, then select an area: This will take a screenshot of an area and save it as a file on the desktop
Command-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: This will take a screenshot of a window and save it as a file on the desktop
Command-Control-Shift-3: This will take a screenshot of the screen, and save it to the clipboard
Command-Control-Shift-4, then select an area: This will take a screenshot of an area and save it to the clipboard
Command-Control-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: This will take a screenshot of a window and save it to the clipboard

In Leopard and later, the following keys can be held down while selecting an area (via Command-Shift-4 or Command-Control-Shift-4):

  • Space, will lock the size of the selected region and instead move it when the mouse moves
  • Shift, will resize only one edge of the selected region
  • Option, will resize the selected region with its center as the anchor point

Each version of Mac OS X has different save formats for screenshots:

  • Mac OS X 10.2 (Jaguar): jpg
  • Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther): pdf
  • Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and later: png

In Mac OS X 10.4 and later, the default screenshot format can be changed, by opening Terminal (located at /Applications/Utilities/Terminal) and typing in:

defaults write com.apple.screencapture type image_format killall SystemUIServer
