iMovie 2013 Tutorial – How to Import Video Into iMovie

In this video tutorial I show you how to import video into iMovie 2013. In order to get video clips into the new version of iMovie you have two different options that you can chose to get the clips into iMovie.

1.) The first way to import video into iMovie will be to just go up to File > Import > Import Video

2.) The second way is to click on the BIG IMPORT button in the upper right hand corner.

Once you do one of these options you will be prompted to the import options page in which you can choose which  video you would like to import into iMovie.

[box type=”info”] Once Video Clips are in iMovie you will not have to ever import them again UNLESS you delete them.[/box]

You should just be able to plug your External Hard Drive to your computer and then it should give you the option to import from that drive.
