How To Fix Blurry Photos In Photoshop

In this tutorial, you will learn how to fix blurry photos in photoshop. When taking pictures one of the most important aspects is being able to make sure that the subject that you are taking the picture of is “In Focus”. When the object/person that you are shooting is not “In Focus”, it causes your images to come out blurry or out of focus. Within Adobe Photoshop there are a few steps that you can take that will greatly improve the blurry images.

Follow These Steps:

1.) The first thing you need to do is to open your image up in Photoshop and duplicate the layer. (If you don’t know how to duplicate the layer just right click on it and then click on “Duplicate Layer”.

2.) Once you have duplicated the layer, you need to select the duplicated layer that you just created. (You will know that the layer is selected because it will be highlighted in a different color in the layers panel.

3.) Once you have your layer selected you need to go up to Filter —> Other —> High Pass

4.) After you have added the High Pass filter to the duplicated layer you want to add a Layer Mask to the same layer. In order to apply a layer mask you just need to have that layer selected and then use the Masking drop down menu above the layer panel.

5.) There are 3 different masks that you will be choosing from, Soft Light, Overlay, and Hard Light. Soft light is the least intense and Hard Light is the most intense.

6.) Depending on the size of your image it may require either one of the 3 suggested masking options.
